DARLINGTON – Two Darlington Middle School students have been charged with assault and battery and removed from the school, according to a release from the Darlington County School District.
The charges and removal came after the two allegedly fondled a third student, who reported the incident to the school’s assistant principal who then notified the school resource officer, according to the release.
The release doesn’t indicate when the incident took place.
All three are minors, according to the release.
An investigation was conducted by the Darlington County Sheriff’s Office.
The two students are awaiting a school disciplinary hearing, according to the release.
