Breakfast with Santa
Bring the kids to our second annual Breakfast with Santa in the gym 8 to 9:30 a.m. Dec. 19. There will be craft activities, food and drink and an opportunity to visit with Santa in a relaxed atmosphere. It’s just $2 for Y members and $5 for others. Sign up at the front desk to reserve your spot.
AOA Lunch with Santa
Our Active Older Adult monthly luncheon will be held 11:30 a.m. Monday with Santa present for all those last-minute Christmas wishes. The children from the YMCA nursery will also be providing musical entertainment. Bring some food to share covered-dish style. For questions, contact member services director Lenora Lefew.
Christmas Gift Membership Special
Give the gift of health this holiday season with our Christmas Membership Special. Buy the specially-priced membership special for a friend or loved one, and they get three months (January, February and March) at any of the three YMCAs in Hartsville, Darlington or Chesterfield. This gift fits everyone on your list.
Holiday Lights on the River
Join our Active Older Adults program on a journey to Columbia on Thursday for the Holiday Lights on the River at Saluda Shoals Park, a fabulous outdoor light display of over a million lights. The bus will leave the YMCA at 4 p.m. Cost is $10 for members and $15 for others. Bring money for a dinner stop. Sign up by Tuesday to reserve your spot.
Christmas Gift Ideas
The YMCA has fantastic new items for sale at the front desk just in time for Christmas. Sweatshirts, t-shirts, fleece jackets and baseball caps make great stocking stuffers or gifts, so come get something for the Y-ers in your life.
Holiday Schedule
Christmas Eve hours are 5 a.m. to 2 p.m., and the Y will be closed Christmas Day. New Year’s Eve hours are 5 a.m. to 5 p.m., and the Y will be closed New Year’s Day.
Indoor Soccer
Come out and play Youth Indoor Soccer this winter with the Y. This program is open to ages 5-10 (as of Feb. 1). Registration ends Dec. 31. Practices begin Jan. 9 at the Y. Cost is $40 for members and $60 for others. Players must attend at least one evaluation session to be placed on a roster. Evaluations are 6 p.m. Tuesday, noon Dec. 19 and 6 p.m. Jan. 6.
