At Tuesday’s meeting, Horry County council members unanimously passed a resolution recognizing the three Carolina Life Care crew members who died on Sept 25.
Pilot Patrick Walters, flight paramedic Claxton Dove, and flight nurse Diana Conner died when their medical helicopter crashed near the Georgetown County airport after dropping off a patient at Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston.
A permanent memorial with their names, which was presented to a group of Life Care employees at the meeting, will be set in concrete on the landing pad at the Conway airport.
The memorial will be dedicated at a special service in January.
