Deputies are investigating a series of break-ins near Scranton, according to a Florence County Sheriff’s Office press release.

During the past several weeks, five break-ins have been reported in the Trifalia, North Bethel, Sam Lee and High Hill roads areas, according to the release. The break-ins have occurred during the daytime when no one was home in the residences. Items removed from the homes primarily consisted of firearms, large flat-screen televisions, laptop computers and jewelry.

Investigators have no information indicating these break-ins are related to the series of break-ins in the Southborough Road area in Florence earlier this week, according to the release.

Anyone with information about these crimes is asked to call the sheriff’s office at (843) 665-2121, ext. 340 or the state Crime Stoppers hotline at (888) CRIME SC (274-6372). Callers need not reveal their identities.
