A 21-year-old Pageland man died Thursday as a result of injuries he suffered during a Aug. 24 one-vehicle crash, S.C. Highway Patrol reports show.
Chesterfield County Coroner Kip Kiser said the identity of that person could be obtained from the Mecklenburg County N.C. Medical Examiners’ office but that office declined to release any information about the death.
The crashed happened at about 11:50 p.m. on secondary roadway 71 when the 21-year-old lost control of the 2000 Kia sport utility vehicle he was driving and ran off the right side of the road, according to reports
He and his passenger were ejected from the vehicle.
Both were transported to a North Carolina hospital for treatment.
Troopers are unclear on the medical status of the passenger.
