One person is dead after a single-car crash in Horry County early Saturday morning.
The Horry County coroner's office reports that 20-year-old John Anthony Pruitt of Lake Wylie died in the crash.
Authorities with the South Carolina Highway Patrol say Pruitt was driving his 2003 green Chevy Trailblazer north on Tibwin Avenue near Gardner Lacy Road when the accident happened. According to the accident report, Pruitt went off the right side of the road, hit a tree and overturned.
Pruitt was taken to by ambulance to Conway Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead. Authorities say he was wearing a seatbelt. The accident remains under investigation.
