Two Miami men have been charged with possession of about 60 counterfeit credit cards and gift cards during a traffic stop in Florence County, U.S. Attorney W. Walter Wilkins said in a press release.

Erick Kessell-Lemus, 35, and Leafar Perez-Payret, 26, were stopped on Interstate 95 by a Florence County sheriff’s deputy when the counterfeit cards were found in their vehicle.

They face a $250,000 fine and 10 years in prison if convicted.

Assistant U.S. Attorney William E. Day II of the Florence office has been assigned to prosecute the case.
