Representatives from FPI MB Entertainment, LLC released the following statements today in answer to the claims raised in the complaint by Roundbox Advisors, LLC filed on August 17 in Horry County.
“Basically, it’s a vendor suing us for not buying their services. It’s like a used car dealer suing you for not buying a car you don’t like.
They just did not offer us what we needed. We did not sign a consulting agreement with Roundbox Advisors to pay them for services and were, in fact, negotiating with them in good faith in order to come to a mutually agreeable resolution,” said Alexei Sidnev, board member of FPI MB Entertainment, LLC.
“I’m extremely disappointed. They made it personal. I had great admiration for that team once.
"They’re going after our reputation and we resent that. We won’t let it rest,” stated Steve Baker, president, FPI MB Entertainment, LLC.
“Just to be clear, this suit does not affect the daily operations of the park. We are committed to our vendors and our patrons today and into the future.”
“I’ve known these guys for years and always respected them.
We have tried in good faith to come to an agreement regarding their services and hate that it has resulted in this (lawsuit),” commented Tom Hiles, Chairman of the Board for FPI MB Entertainment, LLC.
“In the formation of MB Entertainment, LLC, we all came together with the common goal of making this park a success. Since February, it seems Roundbox Advisors has lost sight of that goal,” said Tim Duncan, board member of FPI MB Entertainment, LLC.
Once officially served, FPI MB Entertainment, LLC plans to file an answer to the lawsuit’s allegations.
