Florence to have workshop on comprehensive plan

»  Comments | Post a Comment

The Florence Urban Planning & Development Department is planning to conduct the first in a series of community workshops on the city’s comprehensive plan.

It will be at 6 p.m. Sept. 2 in the Caulder Auditorium of Poynor Adult/Community Education Center, 301 S. Dargan St., Florence.

The comprehensive plan is a critical document for guiding growth and development within the Florence community. As the plan is a reflection of the community’s desires, it is essential for residents and stakeholders alike to participate in the workshops, according to a press release issued by the city Tuesday.

Recommendations and analyses included in this update will focus on how community stakeholders envision Florence 10 to 20 years into the future, and implementing strategies for achieving these goals and thereby create a better quality of life for all its residents.
