The Cash for Clunkers program has helped many South Carolinians trade in their gas-guzzlers for newer, more fuel-efficient models.
Car dealers say the program has been successful, but there is one concern - they haven't yet received thier money from the federal government.
For some, this is causing financial stress. But others say they'll be fine because of planning they did before participating in the program.
"There are some dealers that expected the money sooner," said Mike Reichenbach, owner of Reichenbach Ford in Florence. "We've budgeted for it, we've managed it. If the money comes in today, tomorrow, next month, you know, we're ok with it."
Dealers say they are not sure when they will receive the money.
