Horry County Police investigate home invasion

MYRTLE BEACH – Police are investigating the home invasion and theft of a backpack at gunpoint from a Myrtle Beach area apartment early Wednesday morning.

According to an Horry County Police Department release, two people reported they answered their East Flintlake Court apartment door at 2 a.m. Wednesday and were met by two suspects, one armed with a shotgun.

“The suspects led the victims through the home, demanding money. Suspects stole a backpack from the home, and fled the scene on foot prior to police arrival,” according to the release.

“The suspects are described as a black male 20-30 years of age approximately 5ft. 8in. weighing approximately 165 pounds with a moustache, and a white male 20-30 years of age approximately 5ft. 9in. weighing approximately 165 pounds with blonde hair,” according to the release.

Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to call Horry County Police Department at 915-5350.
