MYRTLE BEACH -- A Myrtle Beach Direct Air flight at Myrtle Beach International Airport was evacuated and passengers and luggage rescreened in response to a passenger's cell phone conversation Thursday morning.

"Upon their arrival, it was discovered that a passenger on the plane was having a phone conversation that was making other passengers uncomfortable. The flight crew was alerted, and the pilot ultimately decided to have the passengers and luggage removed from the plane," according to a release from the Horry County Police Department.

Horry County Police's bomb squad and SLED's K-9 team responded to the plane, according to the release.

"At no time did the passenger on the phone make any threats to the aircraft or the passengers on the aircraft; therefore there will be no charges on him," according to the release.

Myrtle Beach Direct Air was the only airline affected by the situation, according to the release.
