Police still are searching for James Mills of 109 Holloway Lane, Florence, in connection with July 22’s shooting at 409 Guess St. where a man was shot several times in the leg, Watson said.

Terry Commander, 19, 2400 Bennett Drive; Yuri Williams, 18, of 201 Saleeby Loop Apt. E-9; Taquan Jackson, 19, 139 Tallulah St. were arrested soon after the crime and are each charged with assault with intent to kill.

Edwin Andrea Williamson, 17, of 553 Jessmaine St. is charged with accessory to a felony and three counts of assault and battery with intent to kill in connection with the same incident, Watson said.

If arrested, Mills likely will be charged with two counts of assault and battery with intent to kill, two counts of assault with intent to kill, discharging a firearm into a dwelling and accessory after the fact to a felony, the captain said.

Investigators believe Wallace, Brown, Williamson and Commander also were involved in a July 18 incident on 120 Court St. where several shots were fired during an altercation, Watson said. No injuries were reported in that incident.

The two shootings are believed to be part of an ongoing dispute between rival gangs, Watson said.
