Man robs Lake City convenience store

LAKE CITY - Police in Lake City are looking for the man who robbed a local convenience story early Tuesday morning.
The robbery happened about 2:30 a.m. at the Shell Station on the corner of Main Street and Ronald McNair Boulevard, Lake City Police Lt. Roger Tilton said.
The man, wearing a stocking over his face, pointed a gun at the clerk then instructed the clerk and two customers who were in the store to “get down.” The robber demanded money from the cash register then fled the store with an undisclosed amount of money. No one was injured during the robbery, Tilton said.
Anyone with information on this robbery is asked to call the Lake City Police Department at (843) 374-5421 or the state Crime Stoppers hotline at (888) CRIME SC (274-6372). Callers need not reveal their identities.
