Darlington County Deputies seek suspected marijuana grower

Darlington County sheriff’s deputies are looking to arrest a man in connection with marijuana plants found at his home last week.

Brad Ritter, 24, is wanted on a charge of manufacturing marijuana, according to a press release from the Darlington County Sheriff’s Office.

On Aug. 4, the sheriff’s office’s eradication team found 12 marijuana plants, some as tall as 8 feet, growing at the suspect’s home on New Hopewell Road in Hartsville. The plants were seized and destroyed.

Anyone with information on Ritter’s whereabouts is asked to call the sheriff’s office at (843) 398-4501 or the state Crime Stoppers hotline at (888) CRIME SC (274-6372). Callers need not reveal their identities.
