MARION — An argument between two groups of men in the parking lot of the Huddle House in Marion has left one person dead.
The victim is Kion Roberts, 29, of Columbia. He died at Marion Medical Center.
Officials say Roberts was apparently shot by another victim, Kadeem Kelly, 20, of Marion. Kelly was shot in the stomach and remains in critical condition.
The event happened shortly after 4 a.m. on Sunday at the restaurant located at 2436 Highway 76 East, Marion.
Five people have been charged in connection with the shooting. They are Jayvoris Outlaw, 21, of Dillon, accessory after the fact of assault and battery with intent to kill; Clifford Carmichael, 21, of Dillon, accessory after the fact of assault and battery with intent to kill; Keith Bush Jr. 25, of Dillon, accessory after the fact of assault with intent to kill; Jacoby Campbell, 22, of Dillon, accessory after the fact of assault with intent to kill, discharging a firearm inside city limits and unlawful possession of a weapon in the commission of a crime; and Brian Brown, of Dillon, 24, accessory after the fact of murder.
Police were questioning Mario Bush as a person of interest in the case. Bush has a Columbia address but is originally from Dillon.
Investigators have impounded three vehicles involved in the incident and processed them for evidence.
Police say the entire incident was captured on video at the restaurant and said they hope to obtain a copy of the video Monday morning.
