DILLON — Seven suspects have been arrested in a prostitution sting conducted at two Dillon County adult video stores.

Fantasy Girls Private Dancing on U.S. 301 and Sneak Peek at U.S. 301 and Interstate 95 were raided following an investigation by the Dillon and Florence County sheriff’s offices and the State Law Enforcement Division, officials said at a press conference conducted in Effingham late Friday morning.

The investigation was conducted at the request of the Dillon County Sheriff’s Office and spanned a period of several days.

Arrested at Fantasy Girls were 41-year-old Brian Scott Nesbitt of Myrtle Beach, the owner, who is charged with prostitution; 29-year-old Sandra Michelle Hollis of Raeford, North Carolina, who is charged with prostitution and possession of marijuana; 21-year-old Brittany Canchetta Johnson of Darlington and 28-year-old Laura Lee Murray of Dillon, who are each charged with prostitution.

Arrested at Sneak Peek were 39-year-old Michael Ray Ford of Florence, the owner, as well as 22-year-old Rickdrieka Nicole Caver of Florence and 31-year-old Stacy Marie Godwin of Florence, who are each charged with prostitution.

SLED agents said the businesses presented themselves as video stores or strip clubs, but behind closed doors, illegal activities were taking place.

“They advertise as being a video store where you go in and pay money, and they’re actually operating as a strip club,” SLED Capt. Kin McKenzie said. “... they’re supposed to have, you go in and pay money and the lady comes in and it’s supposed to be a dance, but instead sexual favors were exchanged.”

The owner of Sneak Peek, Ford, contacted News13 on Friday, saying his business wasn’t a part of any prostitution ring.

Ford said he was unaware of what went on behind the scenes in the “preview” section of his store and denied any allegations of prostitution taking place at his business.

Ford also said he will be installing security cameras inside his business to prevent future criminal allegations and charges.

SLED agents said they’ll continue to work in Dillon County and other areas across the Pee Dee to crack down on these types of crimes.

“This type of activity leads to other activities, and that’s why SLED has addressed this,” McKenzie said. “We do this in order to clean up communities and we hope that the citizens would be happy about this.”
