HORRY COUNTY - Fire crews were on the scene of a brush fire Friday afternoon on Highway 31 in Horry County.
The scene is located in the northbound lane of the highway near mile marker 21, between Highways 9 and 22.
Horry County Fire Rescue responded to the fire shortly after 1:15 pm and northbound traffic was routed into one lane as crews worked to clear the scene.
According to witnesses at the scene, the fire started after a dump truck blew a tire and the fire spread into grass and brush along the highway.
No one was injured.
