CONWAY - Conway Police are asking for information as they investigate a pair burglaries at two local convenience stores.
According to a news release, the first incident occured Monday morning. At 2:24 am, as officers were conducting routine property checks, they found the front door of the Easy Pick Up, 1112 Main St., damaged.
Review of the store’s video surveillance showed a black male wearing a plaid hooded jacket walk up to the door and throw rocks against the glass door, causing it to shatter but not completely break.
The subject then backed up and ran towards the door kicking and punching the door.
The subject pulled the glass from the door frame and made entry in to the store. Two subjects then entered the store and took various items from the store.
In the second incident, officers responded to the Scotchman store, located at 1813 Wright Blvd. around 2:00 am Wednesday in reference to an alarm call.
Once they arrived, the officers found glass broken out of a side door, and a large rock lying near the door.
The store’s video surveillance system showed four people, two men and two women. outside the store when the window was broken.
One subject is described as a black male wearing a green shirt and blue jeans. Another subject is described as a black male wearing a white shirt and black jeans with red back pockets. Both male subjects had their shirts pulled up over their heads concealing their faces.
The other subjects are described as being black females, one wearing an orange shirt with black shorts and a white towel over her head, and the other wearing a red shirt and black shorts with white stripes on the sides carrying a purple backpack.
