A Wisconsin teenager jogging with her mother was killed Wednesday in Myrtle Beach after being struck by a vehicle.

Horry County Deputy Coroner Tamara Willard identified the victim as Meagan Loehr, 18, of Mount Calvary, Wisconsin.

According to Capt. David Knipes of the Myrtle Beach Police Department, Loehr and her mother were jogging around 6:40 p.m. when she was struck by a Chevrolet Avalanche driven by Robert Holder, 40, of North Myrtle Beach at the intersection of 17th Ave. South and King's Hwy.

Loehr was taken to Grand Strand Memorial Hospital where she later died.

Knipes said Holder was charged with disregarding a traffic control device and faulty tires.

Loehr was visiting Myrtle Beach on vacation with her family.
