Marion School District Two will hold a Back-to-School Rally on Thursday, August 13 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. inside the Mullins High School gymnasium.
All schools in the district will have staff present to distribute information to parents and students, as well as answer any questions they may have. Also civic organizations, local businesses, and colleges will be present to give out information and answer questions about the services they offer the community. Many will be giving out school related items. To entertain the children, Kathy Pruitt, from the
Marion County Public Library, will put on a puppet show.
There will be drawings for door prizes sponsored by local businesses. Hot dogs, chips, drinks, and cookies will be served in the cafeteria throughout the rally. Parking for the rally will be in the cafeteria parking lot, which is located at the back of the school.
All organizations that would like to participate in or make a donation to the back-to-school rally should contact Jean Sports, Literacy Coordinator, at 843-464-1050 or e-mail at jsports@marion2.k12sc.us.
