A Nichols woman was killed in a crash Saturday in Horry County.
Glendora Faye George, 60, of Nichols died as a result of multiple blunt force trauma suffered in the crash, Horry County Deputy Coroner Tony Hendrick said.
The crash happened at 9:37 p.m. on S.C. 917, north of Loris, S.C. Highway Patrol Cpl. Paul Brouthers said.
A 1995 Chevrolet truck crossed the center line of the highway and hit the 1998 Ford SUV George was driving head-on, Brouthers said. Five other people in the SUV were injured and taken to an area hospital for treatment.
Kimberly Hilborn of Conway, the driver of the truck, was airlifted to the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston for treatment, Brouthers said.
The crash remains under investigation by the highway patrol.
