Walgreens will host an American Red Cross Blood Drive from 1 to 6 p.m. Friday at the 1500 S. Irby St., Florence location.
Based on American Red Cross statistics, every two seconds, someone in the United States needs blood. But only 5 percent of the eligible U.S. population donates blood in any given year.
All walk-ins are welcome, but donors are encouraged to pre-register for blood drives by using www.givelife.org (type in ZIP code) or by calling (800) GIVE LIFE.
