The S.C. Department of Transportation has named the Mullins Lions Club the 2008 Adopt-A-Highway Group of the Year for Marion County.

S.C. DOT presented the award to the group at the Adopt-A-Highway awards ceremony earlier this month at The Zone at the University of South Carolina’s Williams-Brice Stadium in Columbia.
The annual event is hosted by the state’s DOT to recognize the volunteer-citizen groups, coordinators and SCDOT employees for their participation in the Adopt-A-Highway program.
