Authorities have closed several area highways again Wednesday morning because of lingering wildifire smoke in Horry County.

The following roads are closed until further notice Wednesday morning:
* Highway 31 from Robert Grissom Parkway to Highway 9
* Highway 22 from Highway 90 to Highway 17
* Highway 90, from Highway 22 to the Solid Waste Authority office near Conway. This is open for local traffic only, so residents can get in and out of their homes.
