CONWAY - The Small Business Development Center at Coastal Carolina University’s Wall College of Business is sponsoring a free tax seminar for small business owners from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Thursday, April 30 in Wall Auditorium.
According to a news release, representatives of the Internal Revenue Service, the South Carolina Employment Security Commission and the Department of Revenue will conduct the sessions, which will cover federal tax issues, state tax issues and discussion of the S.C. Employment Security Commission.
Topics include which federal and state forms to file, recordkeeping, types of entities, how to make payments online, the employee/independent contractor relationship and other subjects to help the small business owner comply with state and federal tax laws, the release said.
The event is free, but preregistration is required.
