»  Comments | Post a Comment

Tuesday night's election for Atlantic Beach Town Council ended with no winner. Of the three candidates, none of them received the majority vote.

Josephine Isom received 28 votes, John Sketers received 22 votes, and Kantrese Wright received 17 votes in the election to fill Mayor Retha Pierce's seat on council.

A candidate needed 34 votes to win the seat, according to Council Chairwoman Alice Graham.

Graham says a runoff election between Isom and Sketers will be held in about two weeks, but the official date has not been set at this time.
