Williamsburg County sheriff’s deputies are looking for three suspects who kidnapped a 17-year-old Kingstree man and robbed him of $7.
Warrants have been issued for the arrest of 18-year-old Atkeen Damion Haynes of 57 Holywood Road, Kingstree; 19-year-old Travis Tyrell “Bull” Snow, of 331 Senate Road, Andrews; and a 16-year-old boy, according to a sheriff’s office incident report.
The incident happened about 10:30 p.m. Saturday as the victim was leaving a function at Kingstree High School, according to the report. One of the suspects approached him and asked him for a ride. When the victim declined, the suspect pulled up his shirt to display a handgun and told the victim he was going to give him a ride.
One the suspect got into the vehicle, he ordered the victim to drive to Hole Road, where two other suspects armed with handguns forced the victim out of his vehicle. The three suspects checked the victim’s pockets for money while pointing guns at him. They ordered the victim back into the vehicle to drive them around and call his friends to ask them for money. This lasted about an hour until the suspects told the victim to drop them off at Club Jordan’s on Warsaw Highway, according to the report.
On Wednesday, the victim received a threatening text message from one of the suspects demanding $150. That’s when the victim told his father about what happened earlier, and his father called the sheriff’s office, according to the report.
Anyone with information on the suspects’ whereabouts is asked to call the sheriff’s office at (843) 355-6381 or Crime Stoppers of the Pee Dee at (888) CRIME SC (274-6372). Callers need not reveal their identities.
