A Timmonsville man died Friday afternoon in a car crash near his home, Florence County Deputy Coroner Don Reynolds said.
Jessie James Green, 54, of 301 N. Tanyard St. died at the scene of the single-vehicle crash, Reynolds said.
The crash happened about 2:30 p.m. on S.C. 403 near Timmonsville when Green lost control of his 1989 GMC pickup, ran off the road and was ejected from the vehicle, S.C. Highway Patrol Lance Cpl. Sonny Collins said.
The crash remains under investigation, he said.
