Florence-Darlington Tech to have annual ethics debate

Florence-Darlington Technical College will sponsor its annual panel discussion and debate on ethics at 11:30 a.m. April 8 in the Fred C. Fore Auditorium, Room 401. Andrew Kampiziones, instructor of philosophy, will be the moderator.

Topics to be discussed are human cloning, economic decline, business and medical ethics. Panelists include Thomas C. Ewart, senior vice president of First Reliance Bank in Florence discussing business ethics; Dr. Mark A. Fox, medical director of McLeod Hospice and Palliative Care debating bio-ethics; Emerson Gower, Southern region vice president of Progress Energy talking about energy and environmental concerns; Brian Newman, senior vice president of Honda of South Carolina Manufacturing Inc. discussing labor ethics; and Florence Mayor Stephen J. Wukela, debating ethics in government.
