A group of Myrtle Beach business owners met again Tuesday morning to discuss what options are available for possible legal action against the city, one week after city council passed sweeping ordinances meant to curtail bike week events.
Business Owners Against Selective Tourism, or BOAST, met for the fourth time, this time with attorneys, to see what they can do to stop the city from keeping bikers out of Myrtle Beach.
"There are less people coming to town (this year)," said Robert Kelley, a motel owner. "We don't feel like, with the situation with the economy, it's the right time to just chase off 500,000 visitors," he said.
City of Myrtle Beach spokesman Mark Kruea said the city will take any and all lawsuits seriously, but, as of mid-day Tuesday, the city had not received any summons for any lawsuits.
