I am a proud parent of a Wilson football player, and I am so sick of our young men being treated like prisoners after a football game.
Our boys realize what they did was not the right way to act.
Why is it that they are not allowed to show everyone that they do have enough class to shake hands with the other teams?
I really find it an overkill to have as many officers at the games with the lights going like our guys or we, the fans, are going to attack someone.
I am not from Wilson, so when my son started playing last year, the whole team, coaching staff, cheerleaders and fans gathered together to sing the alma mater, I thought that was beautiful.
It broke my heart to watch our boys stand in the end zone to sing the alma mater.
Things that have happened in the past are never going to die down if you keep treating them as if they are always looking for trouble.
Tigers, hold your heads up high and know that you are loved by your fans, alumni and (non) alumni.
