Hard Rock Park officials would not release specific numbers for just how many customers purchased $150 season passes for the bankrupt park's first season, but now that the company is under Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection, those customers could have to wait until 2009 to get any money back.

Jim Olecki, a spokesman for the company's public relations firm, said all reimbursements would be handled by the bankruptcy courts.
Wyndi Vann, who lives in Myrtle Beach and received a season pass as a gift from her mother-in-law back in April, visited the park more than a half-dozen times over the summer.
"It is a nice place," she said Thursday morning. "They should have prepared for (bankruptcy.) They put a lot of money into that park, and it should've gone over a little bit better."
Vann thinks the high ticket prices contributed to the park's failed performance.
"You heard so many people say, 'I'm not paying that!'" she said. "The very last time I went out there (in September) you could count the cars in the parking lot."
Hard Rock Park officials listed the company's customer service phone number on the park's website for anyone who has any questions. That number is (843) 646-6450.
If the company doesn't do something to re-imburse customers who purchased season passes, Vann believes that would do more damage in the long run, if the park re-opens next spring as promised.
"If they don't (reimburse), then those people probably won't ever come back," Vann said.
