The committee, which is headed by Sen. Luke Rankin, also includes Rep. Alan Clemmons, Bill McKown, South Carolina Aeronautics Commission, Barbara Blain-Olds, Conway assistant city administrator, Michael Suggs, Loris council, Ed Williams, with North Myrtle Beach, Marion Foxworth, Horry county council, Carl Schwartzkopf, Horry county council, Howard Barnard, Horry county council, Harold Worley, Horry county council, John Rhodes, Myrtle Beach mayor, Charles Martino, Myrtle Beach council, Woody Crosby, Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce, John Laymon, Myrtle Beach Regional Economic Development Corporation, and Bill Golden, Myrtle Beach Golf Holiday.

Clemmons said the obligation of the committee is to evaluate how best to foster a partnership between the public and private sector and to help govern the airport as best as the committee possibly can.

The only decision at Wednesday's meeting was committee members agreeing not to interfere with any county plans on terminal expansion.

The next meeting is tentatively scheduled for Oct. 1.
