Stokes to speak at refuge meeting

Sam Stokes, S.C. Department of Natural Resources Region 2 wildlife coordinator, will speak during the Friends of Carolina Sandhills National Wildlife Refuge’s September meeting.

Stokes, who works from the Florence office, will talk about white-tailed deer management in the Pee Dee.

The meeting will take place at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at the Refuge Headquarters, 3.5 miles east of McBee on U.S. 1.

The refuge, located in Chesterfield County, is part of the National Wildlife Refuge System.
