Police are looking for person or persons responsible for two separate “snatch and grabs” that happened this month in Conway, according to a press release issued by Conway police.
Conway police responded to the first incident on Sept. 9, shortly after 9 p.m. at the BP Station located at 2901 Church Street in reference to a hold up alarm.
According to the release, the investigation determined the suspect came up to the register to purchase a lighter. When the clerk opened the register, the reached over the counter grabbed money from the register and ran out of the store.
Police describe the suspect as a black male, 6 feet tall, weighing around 220 pounds. He was last seen wearing a light blue shirt, blue jeans, white Nikes with a blue check, a silver watch, and having a very short haircut.
The second incident happened on Sept 22, just after 10 p.m. at the Tiger Mart located at 1626 Church Street.
This time, the suspect went to the register to purchase candy.
When the register at this gas station, the suspect reached over the counter grabbed money from the register and ran out of the store.
No one was injured during either incident.
Both incidents were caught on the stores’ surveillance cameras.
