Two women were arrested after deputies said they assaulted a man who needed treatment at a local hospital as a result, Darlington County Sheriff’s Office Lt. Robin Bryant said.
Ginger Faye Lloyd, 20, of 909 Alpine Drive, Florence, and Wanda Munn Lane, 31, of 717 Bayfield Drive, Darlington, are each charged with assault and battery of a high and aggravated nature, according to Darlington County Detention Center booking reports. Lloyd was arrested Friday, and Lane was arrested Saturday.
The incident occurred Friday afternoon after an argument broke out at the victim’s residence, which has the same address as Lloyd’s home.
One of the suspects threw a telephone at the victim, the other suspect grabbed him and the first suspect kicked him in the head at least once, Bryant said.
Other than calling all three people “acquaintances,” investigators aren’t releasing the specific relationship between the victim and the suspects.
Lloyd and Lane remained in jail Tuesday afternoon with bond set at $5,000 for each, according to detention center reports.
