MAXTON, N.C. – A teen was shot by a Maxton police officer and the N.C. State Bureau of Investigation is looking into the incident.
An SBI release indicated around 4 p.m. officer Jamie Oxendine shot a 15-year-old in an incident at the Holly Court Apartments.
The victim’s name was not released and no information was available on his current condition, according to the release.
Following the investigation the results will be delivered to the district attorney’s office for review, according to the release.
