Sunny Acres names queen, king
Sunny Acres Nursing Home recently had a senior prom for its residents. The event was a great success, organizers said, with almost all of the residents and staff participating. The color theme, by choice of residents, was royal blue and gold, with ribbons, netting, lights and swags everywhere. It was beautiful, one resident said. There was a great array of food, also chosen by the residents, which consisted of punch, water, open-faced marinated cucumber sandwiches, mini-pizza squares, mini-pimento sandwiches, mini-peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, mini-éclair’s, cut watermelon basket with watermelon and cantaloupe balls and grapes. Our Senior King David Epps and Senior Queen Dorothy Hill were chosen by a panel of judges, consisting of two CNA’s, one nurse and one housekeeper. Shown are Epps and Hill.
