At Tuesday night’s regularly scheduled council meeting, council chair Liz Gilland appointed an ad hoc committee that will meet with Myrtle Beach city officials about the May bike rallies.
Council members Brent Schulz, Kevin Hardee, James Frazier and Bob Grabowski were appointed to the committee.
Gilland said she may join the committee, but has not yet decided. She said the county cannot just rubber stamp the city's plan.
Along with the committee members, the county's attorney and public safety director will also be part of the meetings.
