A Florence man was arrested Monday after police said he fired several shots at a man, Florence Police Maj. Carlos Raines said.
Donnell Marquez Robinson, 19, of 909 Royal St., is charged with assault and battery with intent to kill and being under sentence by magistrate or city court, Florence County Detention Center booking reports show.
The incident happened at 2:18 p.m. Sunday at the corner of Mullins and Brunson Streets, Raines said.
The suspect was standing near the corner with another man when he spotted the victim and pulled out a black revolver, Raines said.
The victim threw down his bicycle and ran into the woods as the suspect chased him and fired several shots at him.
No one was injured during the crime, Raines said.
Robinson remains in custody at the jail in Effingham. Bond information wasn’t available.
