Florence County sheriff’s investigators are looking for two brothers they said stole a van at gunpoint, then set it on fire, Florence County Sheriff’s Lt. Brett Camp said.

Shallah Allah Marshall, 19, and Jahaad Tireim Marshall, 22, both of 442 W. Evans St., are wanted on charges of armed robbery and third-degree arson, Camp said.

The incident happened at 8 a.m. Monday at Hampton Inn and Suites on West Lucas Street, Camp said. The suspects pointed a gun at a couple as they were leaving a hotel room and demanded a cell phone, credit cards and money.

The suspects fled the scene in the couple’s white van, which was later found burned behind a church on McQueen Street.

Anyone with information is asked to call the sheriff’s office at (843) 665-2121 or Crime Stoppers of the Pee Dee at (843) 667-TIPS (8477) or (866) 369-TIPS (8477). Callers need not reveal their identities.
