The S.C. Bar Ask-A-Lawyer phone bank, which coordinates volunteer lawyers for televised phone banks and Web chats in an effort to assist the public with its legal questions, will be conducted Wednesday by WBTW News13 in Florence and Myrtle Beach.
Television phone banks, staffed by volunteer attorneys, will air on the evening news between 5 and 8 p.m. to encourage the public to call in with questions. Lawyers will also respond to questions via a Web chat.
The public should call WBTW in Florence at 843-413-7071 or in Myrtle Beach at (843) 294-8432 to speak to attorneys, or they can chat with an attorney online by visiting www.scbar.org/aal.
Attorney volunteers include Michael C. Abbott, Barbara Blain-Olds, Kevin M. Barth, Bryan W. Braddock, Heather M. Cannon, Melissa Frazier, William P. Hatfield, Carolyn R. Hills, Frederick A. Hoefer II, James T. Irvin Jr., Melanie Nicholson, Flo Lester Vinson, Regina B. Ward and Carrington S.B. Wingard.
The Ask-A-Lawyer program is made possible by the S.C Bar Foundation Inc.
