A Pageland man accused of possessing child pornography on a computer and computer-related materials in his home has been arrested, according to a State Law Enforcement Division press release.
David Josue Alfaro-Burgos, 23, of 34 J.L. Green Lanes, is charged with third-degree criminal sexual exploitation of a minor — a felony punishable by up to 10 years in prison — as part of the S.C. Attorney General’s Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.
This case will be prosecuted by the S.C. Attorney General’s Office.
SLED Computer Crimes Center agents seized a computer and computer-related materials during the investigation, according to the release.
SLED’s Computer Crimes Center has investigated 189 sex crimes dealing with minors, including child pornography, criminal sexual conduct, sexual exploitation and online enticement since July 1, 2007.
