Georgetown officials report little Hanna damage

»  Comments | Post a Comment

Georgetown County was extremely fortunate to have suffered no reportable wind damage as a result of Tropical Storm Hanna.

Flooding reported earlier in low lying coastal areas and in the City of Georgetown has subsided and all roads in the County are open. Only two power outages (not affecting large numbers of customers) remain to be resolved – one on Waverly Road in Pawleys Island and one on St. Delights Road in Lambertown.

Santee Cooper and Santee Electric Cooperative crews are in the process of restoring power to these two locations.

At this time, the Georgetown County Emergency Operations Center is downgrading to a limited activation and will retain limited staffing with Emergency Management personnel until noon.
