Central United Methodist Church will host “The Economy and You: An Economic Forum” on Wednesday.
The forum will be from 6:15 p.m.-7:30 p.m. in the Spears Fellowship Hall located on Cheves Street.
According to the church, representatives of the banking and finance community, along with Dr. Barry O ‘Brien, Dean of the Business School at Francis Marion University, will form a
panel to address the current economic crisis in terms of federal attempts to respond, the collapse of major financial institutions, and concerns over high gas prices, food prices, and foreclosures.
The panel will attempt to explain what has happened in non-partisan terms, while considering the effects this has on lives within the Florence community.
On Wednesday, October 22nd, Central will offer Dave Ramsey’s popular financial management program known as Financial Peace University.
This 13-week course will be offered at a reduced cost of $15.
