Fire breaks out at volunteer fire station in Horry County

A fire started early Wednesday at the Shell Community Volunteer Fire Station in Horry County.

A fire started early Wednesday at the Shell Community Volunteer Fire Station in Horry County.

The station is located on Highway 905, about halfway between Highway 501 and Highway 22.

There was some damage to the building, but firefighters were able to get the fire engine out with no damage to it, according to Todd Cartner with Horry County Fire Rescue.

No injuries were reported.
