State Law Enforcement Division agents in the Pee Dee have arrested a Bennettsville man accused of criminal sexual conduct and kidnapping, according to a SLED press release.

Gregory Thomas Pencille, 30, is charged with first-degree criminal sexual conduct and kidnapping in connection with a July 13, 2001, case investigated by the Horry County Police Department.

DNA evidence collected in that case led to these charges pursued by the 15th Circuit Solicitor’s Office, according to the release.

Pencille is serving time at the Evans Correctional Institution in Bennettsville for a Nov. 9, 2005, kidnapping conviction. That crime happened March 19, 2005, and was investigated by the Myrtle Beach Police Department.
