Lower Grand Strand gas prices on the way down

»  Comments | Post a Comment

The falling gas prices at many stations on the Grand Strand have some people waiting in long lines for the chance to fill-up.

Prices at some stations in Myrtle Beach were just under $3.00 at $2.98 and $2.99.

Customers said they hope the prices will continue to fall.

Jamie Flannery, who lives in Myrtle Beach said, “I hope it helps us, hope they keep on going down and the economy's terrible right now."

"I love it, if the gas prices go down then maybe some other stuff will go down and we'll start spending again, the economy will go back up." said Patricia Marlow, who lives in Myrtle Beach.

Customers in Georgetown also lined up at stations in the city, some with prices at $2.59 and $2.55.

"I guess this is the best thing that will happen you know in a while you know and I think it's real great you know and everybody else should come down to this price, probably make a whole lot of people happier." said Cubit White.

Yolanda McCall also filled up her tank, "I drive to and from myrtle beach everyday and it saves me a lot on gas and myrtle beach gas is two dollars, three dollars and 27-cents and this is 2.55, can't beat it, you cannot beat it, best gas in Georgetown." said McCall.

One gas station attendant in Myrtle Beach at a Kangaroo said he changed the prices two times in one day and is just waiting for the go-ahead from corporate headquarters to lower the prices again.
