Lamar will host a community informational forum regarding elements of the Starlight Village subdivision at 6 p.m. Wednesday at town hall in cooperation with the Santee Lynches Community Development Corp. and Community Assistance Provider.
Seven homes are under construction with completion dates before the end of the 2008 calendar year. Financing is available with interest rates possible at 1 percent and with grant funds from the U.S. Department of Agriculture. The Santee Lynches Community Development Corp. is accepting applications, which can be viewed online at www.townoflamar.com. Residents also can pick up an application at town hall between 8:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Sixteen lots are available for development, with house plans ranging on the average of 1,200 square feet with three bedrooms and two bathrooms.
